Winners of the 2018 London Critics Choice Awards

The London Critics Choice Awards have just been handed out, let’s take a look at this year’s big winners.

The London Film Critics' Circle was established in 1913, as an association for working film critics that work and live in the United Kingdom.

But, almost 70 years would pass, before the first Critics' Circle Film Awards were instituted in 1980.

The awards show is traditionally held at the West End hotel in London, and from 1995, it is also a charitable event.

The 38th London Film Critics' Circle Awards show was held on January 28, this time at the May Fair Hotel.

Film of the Year award went to Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017) and British/Irish Film of the Year award went to Dunkirk (2017). Elle (2017) got the best Foreign Language Film. And for the Director of the Year was named Sean Baker, for his movie The Florida Project (2017).
