George Clooney wants the best for his pet project series - 'Catch-22'

George Clooney has recruited award-winning director Ellen Kuras for his upcoming Catch-22 adaptation.

Catch-22 is Joseph Heller's satirical novel, that was published in 1961. It immediately became a best seller, world-wide, with a movie adaptation that premiered in 1970.

Catch-22 (1970) directed by Mike Nichols and scripted by Buck Henry was full of famous actors/actresses, and it was an instant hit.

Catch-22 is set in a World War II, and it mainly follows Captain John Yossarian, who is operating the B-25 bombardier. The story looks into the experiences of Yossarian and the other airman in their camp, who attempt to maintain their sanity, while fulfilling their service, so they may return home.

George Clooney is now working hard on a TV series Catch-22 that will premiere in 2018, but the exact date is unknown.

Yossarian will be portrayed by Christopher Abbott, and Colonel Cathcart will be played by George Clooney.

Clooney is making sure that his pet-project is looking sharp, so he hired an Oscar nominated cinematographer Ellen Kuras to make sure that the whole series looks just right.
