Margot Robbie appeared as Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad (2016). Even though the movie didn't do well with the critics and the fans of DC comics didn't love it too much, Robbie's portrayal of euphoric, crazy Joker-loving villain became a hit.
Robbie will reprise her role of Harley Quinn in at least 4 upcoming movies, and one of those big screen efforts will be her own standalone flick Birds of Prey.
Margot Robbie will also produce this movie, based on the comic book by Chuck Dixon and Jordan B. Gorfinkel.
Cathy Yan is signed as a director and Christina Hodson will write the screenplay for the Birds of Prey.
Other movies in which Robbie will play Quinn are Suicide Squad 2 (2019), Gotham City Sirens, and Untitled Joker-Harley Quinn Project.
