Jason Momoa and director Corin Hardy exit The Crow remakeThe curse of 'The Crow' strikes again as Jason Momoa and director Corin Hardy have exited the movie. Hardy signed on to the project in late 2014, but was taken off the project in July, 2015 during pre-production, when the studio, Relativity Media, filed for bankruptcy.
The Crow (2019) is the upcoming movie remake, that is based on a comic book of the same name.
James O'Barr wrote the comic book, and Kevin Cornish, Cliff Dorfman, Alex Tse and Jesse Wigutow are working on a script for the new movie about Eric, who is brought back to life by a mystical crow. Eric will use his immortality to avenge his dead wife.
Jason Momoa was attached as Eric, and Corin Hardy was set to direct The Crow (2019), but they are out of the picture.
Momoa Tweeted this: I've waited 8 years to play this dream role... unfortunately I may have to wait 8 more. Not our team... This film needs to be set free... I can't play anything but what this film deserves and it needs love. I'm ready when it's right.
It seems that Momoa thinks that something with the recent production is not right, and he doesn't want to be a part of a half-baked film.
