Keira Knightley's 'Colette' dominates at SundanceKeira Knightley's new period drama Colette has become the first hit at this year's Sundance Film Festival in Utah, sparking a bit of a bidding war among some of the biggest studios in the movie business.
Directed by Wash Westmoreland and written by Westmoreland and Rebecca Lenkiewicz and Richard Glatzer, Colette (2018) is the movie about a marriage and one woman's struggle to escape her husband's control.
The movie is based on the life of French writer Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette, best known for her novel Gigi (1944).
Keira Knightley is portraying Colette, and her partners in this biopic are Dominic West, Eleanor Tomlinson, Fiona Shaw, Aiycha Hard and Robert Pugh.
Colette (2018) had its premiere on January 20, at the Sundance Film Festival. And it seems that audience and critics just loved it.
