Tomb Raider (2018) is about Lara Croft, the fiercely independent daughter of a missing adventurer. She must push herself beyond her limits when she finds herself on the island where he father disappeared.
Roar Uthaug directed Tomb Raider (2018) and Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Alastair Siddons wrote the screenplay, based on the video games.
Alicia Vikander is in a good company, having great actors and actresses starring alongside her: Dominic West, Walton Goggins, Daniel Wu, Kristin Scott Thomas and Derek Jacobi.
Vikander is currently preparing one more big screen hit Freak Shift, but she is already thinking about turning Tomb Raider into a franchise of movies.
