'BlacKkKlansman' and 'Under the Silver Lake' to compete at the Cannes Film Festival

Movies starring Adam Driver and Andrew Garfield will compete for the coveted Palme d'Or at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival.

Under the Silver Lake (2018) centers on Sam, who becomes obsessed with the strange circumstances of a billionaire mogul's murder and the kidnapping of a girl.

David Robert Mitchell directed and written this movie. He is known for his award winning big screen efforts The Myth of the American Sleepover (2010) and It Follows (2014).

Andrew Garfield will portray Sam, an there are other great actresses/actors in this movie: Riley Keough, Topher Grace, Callie Hernandez, Zosia Mamet...


Another movie that will have its premiere on the 2018 Cannes Film Festival is Spike Lee's BlacKkKlansman (2018), about Ron Stallworth, an African-American police officer from Colorado, who successfully managed to infiltrate the local Ku Klux Klan and became the head of the local chapter.

Spike Lee directed and co-written BlacKkKlansman (2018) with David Rabinowitz, Charlie Wachtel and Kevin Willmott.

The movie is based on the book by Ron Stallworth himself.

Topher Grace also stars in this one, alongside Adam Driver, Laura Harrier, Ryan Eggold and John David Washington, who portrays Ron Stallworth.
